A terrorist attack occurred in Australia in 1915 at Broken Hill, when two Afghan Muslims responded to the Ottoman empire being at war with the British Empire during WWI, so they planned an attack on a group of Australians travelling to a picnic killing four including a teenage girl and wounding seven more. They left a note clearly describing it as an attack based on their religious beliefs.
Interesting about your prediction for a volcanic eruption in Japan – the scientists are predicting that Mt. Fuji is going to erupt and I have seen another prediction of it happening this year. On a side note, I received a message that Mt. St. Helens is also going to erupt this year, but don’t have a clue when. It was just one of those messages that seem to come out of the blue, when I am not even thinking about anything in particular and have no vested interest in the event, for instance living near Mt. St. Helens. I did find another prediction on Google by somebody who claimed it was going to happen in May. We shall see what occurs.
As we mark the 10th anniversary of the collapse of Lehman Brothers, there are still ongoing debates about the causes and consequences of the financial crisis, and whether the lessons needed to prepare for the next one have been absorbed. But looking ahead, the more relevant question is what actually will trigger the next global recession and crisis, and when.
It’s difficult to quantify Vashistha’s—or any astrologer’s—success rate since they don’t necessarily get client feedback on how predictions pan out. But that hasn’t prevented skilled financial advisors and money managers from seeing the practice as a way to apply big-picture logic to unpredictable markets. Especially in a secular bull market that some argue is overbought, investors are eager to integrate any data that may help them protect their money by foretelling a correction, even if the information has celestial origins.
So this relates to this disease being the shadow of death. Also note that Hong Kong is near Guangdong Province in China, and Hong Kong is a former English colony: this may relate to the "mouth of a lion" of the Red Dragon Red China, the lion I related above to Influenza. Also note that on this site I relate the lion of the Antichrist to Iraq, the lion being a symbol of Babylon, the ancient empire that was located in Iraq. So the war in Iraq in March 2003 may relate holographically to this "lion" disease SARS appearing then. This disease of SARS may be symbolic of the disease of Saddam Hussein that has existed in Iraq. Also, since SARS had its virus discovered in March 2003, then we can relate it to Galaxy M23, which is in the Constellation Sagittarius, Sagittarius being the half-man half-horse archer. This again would relate it to the Antichrist (who I think is Putin), since in Revelation 6:2 the Antichrist is a man on horseback with a bow and arrow. So SARS may indicate the rise of the Antichrist, the Satanic imitation of Christ, who is Vladimir Putin, to world prominence. And SARS coming out of China: the Antichrist gets his power from the dragon, indicating Putin will have an alliance with Red China, the Red Dragon. Also, corresponding to 23 for SARS (since SARS was discovered in 2003, and started near 23 North in China)would be Revelation 12:3 where the red dragon is seen in heaven. MERS is related to SARS, and MERS was causing an outbreak in South Korea in June 2015.

The Financial Uproar blog has posted an article about my efforts to get the errors in the Old School safe withdrawal rate studies corrected entitled Rob Bennett: Crazy? Or Crazy Like a Fox? Juicy Excerpt #1: I’ve always liked what Rob had to say. He has well thought out opinions about everything he writes. He’s clearly a very intelligent guy. So I decided to click through to his blog (A Rich Life) to see what he writes about. Turns out Rob is just a little crazy. Juicy Excerpt #2:…

The stock market boomed because, since the Great Financial Crisis of 2008, the Federal Reserve Bank (“Fed”) has kept interest rates close to 0% (the infamous ZIRP or Zero Interest Rate Policy). So, from December 2008 to December 2015 – for 7 years – corporations were borrowing trillions of dollars and buying back their own shares! Hence the stock market boom.
To illustrate this we have included the TED spread which is a good stress indicator for credit and currency markets. That’s where turmoil always starts before it trickles down to other parts of global markets like for instance stock markets. It is “the difference between the interest rates on interbank loans and on short-term U.S. government debt.” TED is an acronym formed from T-Bill and ED, the ticker symbol for the Eurodollar futures contract. It incorporates both interest rates and currency stress. But as seen on below up-to-date chart there is no stress whatsoever.
The resultant rise of mass unemployment is seen as a result of the crash, although the crash is by no means the sole event that contributed to the depression. The Wall Street Crash is usually seen as having the greatest impact on the events that followed and therefore is widely regarded as signaling the downward economic slide that initiated the Great Depression. True or not, the consequences were dire for almost everybody. Most academic experts agree on one aspect of the crash: It wiped out billions of dollars of wealth in one day, and this immediately depressed consumer buying.
When you think of oil production, the Middle East or OPEC is probably what comes to mind. But substantial shale finds in the United States in recent decades have pushed the nation the No. 3 spot in terms of daily production as of 2016, according to data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration. At 8.88 million barrels of oil production per day, the U.S. is responsible for more than 10% of global production.
Right now, Republicans have control of the legislative branch of the U.S. government, albeit by a slim margin in the Senate. Having a majority of seats in both houses of Congress, and a Republican President in Donald Trump, increases the probability of legislation being passed. Not to mention, the GOP is often viewed as a party that’s friendlier to businesses. This Republican majority is responsible for passing the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act in December 2017, which slashed the peak marginal corporate income tax rate to 21% from 35%.
Lilith is not part of modern astrology as she has no family relationship to the original, classical planets – Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. Astrology is based on planets, asteroids and other heavenly bodies which all have a logical connection to each other, and Lilith simply doesn’t. The reason some astrology students use her is possibly because she’s been included in old 20th century ephemerides, but you won’t find her in the charts you get here – so please don’t bother. You have a very complicated chart when it comes to money. I am not surprised you feel you never have an easy break with finances. You were born with the Moon at 25 Taurus, just two degrees away from Mars at 27 Taurus. Chiron is also at 19 Taurus. Meanwhile, right opposite, you have Uranus at 27 Scorpio, so he is exactly opposite your natal Mars. Very hard work! Panacea at 16 Taurus and Bacchus at 21 Taurus complete this stellium (unusually high number of factors) in your Second House. You won’t experience any changes until transiting Uranus travels all the way to 16, and then as he moves through to 19, 21, 25 and 27 many years from now, you will find your values change quite substantially. Your values now really revolve around what you will sell your soul for/refuse to sell your soul for. Everyone has some kind of price. Your values are also about who or what you consider to be precious or even priceless. Some people are Marxists and some people are shopaholics. Some give to charity and some avoid tax because they disagree with the government. Some drop out and live off the grid and some work in banks. Worrying is not necessary but you do need to stay open and remain informed. You will feel the bump/the bang of Uranus entering your Second House in mid-May and that is when you need to do a ton of reading, and a lot of talking. There is an inner conflict here between your Mars in Taurus in the Second House at 27 Taurus and Uranus in the Eighth House at 27 Scorpio. You feel the urge to act, to push, to fight (if required) and to compete, when it comes to all that you earn, own or owe. At the same time, whenever you strike out like this, you hit internal conflicts or inner opposition, as there is a part of you which is endlessly inventive, productive and creative when it comes to money, charity, business, houses, possessions or apartments – but you reject what comes, and are then knocked sideways by it anyway. You essentially upset your own apple cart. You need to look up Mars, Uranus, Second House, Eighth House, Taurus, Scorpio on Search and get to know yourself really well before this cycle begins. On the plus side, Jupiter (abundance, expansion, growth, fortunate outcomes, hope, solutions) will reach 27 Scorpio in the final months of this year and you will find that as he conjuncts Uranus in your chart and opposes Mars, you will have a huge open door. I’m not saying the lock won’t take work, and the key won’t be hard to find – but the door will be wide open and it could lead somewhere astonishing for you.
Many astrologers like to characterize their method of reading a horoscope as "holistic", in an effort to escape criticisms from mechanistically-oriented skeptics. I prefer to think of chart analysis in terms of Boolean logic, where multiple factors must be present for a particular situation to occur. For example, we cannot expect stocks to inevitably rise when benefic Jupiter conjoins the natal Sun of the chart we are working with. Such a favourable pattern may be thought of as a necessary, but not sufficient condition for price increases. There must also be an absence of negative factors hitting the key chart points. These would include few close aspects from malefic planets, no planets transiting malefic houses (6th, 8th, 12th) and so on. Given the large number of variables every chart contains, there will be several significant operating planetary contacts and influences at any given time. These must all be evaluated for their relative effects of prices according to the principles of Boolean analysis. If we are trying to assess if the conditions are in place for a bull market, for example, we could construct a table that more clearly reflects this logical process.
The trend towards forms of saving with a higher risk has been accentuated by new rules for most funds and insurance, permitting a higher proportion of shares to bonds. Similar tendencies are to be found in other developed countries. In all developed economic systems, such as the European Union, the United States, Japan and other developed nations, the trend has been the same: saving has moved away from traditional (government insured) "bank deposits to more risky securities of one sort or another".
The financial system in most western countries has undergone a remarkable transformation. One feature of this development is disintermediation. A portion of the funds involved in saving and financing, flows directly to the financial markets instead of being routed via the traditional bank lending and deposit operations. The general public interest in investing in the stock market, either directly or through mutual funds, has been an important component of this process.
Concerning this prophecy by Nostradamus, it is interesting that the solar eclipse passed over France on August 11,1999, and on August 17, 1999 the Cassini spacecraft with its nuclear fuel passed within a thousand miles of earth's surface, within a day of the Grand Cross pattern. I think the significance of Cassini passing by earth within a day of the Grand Cross pattern is that Cassini may be a hologram, a symbolic parallel event, related to the rise to power of the Antichrist in Russia as Vladimir Putin, President of Russia. Note that the Cassini spacecraft reached Saturn in July 2004, and landed a probe on Saturn's moon Titan in Jan. 2005. "Titan" in Greek totals 666 (the number of the Antichrist), where in Greek each letter is also a number, and Greek is the language of the Book of Revelation and the New Testament.
There are more millennials because they started from higher birth levels than the baby boomers. But the slope of the wave of baby boomers from 1936 to 1961 is like a huge 10-foot wave. The millennials will never have that growth rate even at their full peak spending period. They won’t take us to new heights. So the economy basically goes sideways as far as the eye can see. Demographics are going to be shrinking, even in the next boom.
Set forth below is the text of a comment that I recently posted to the discussion thread for another blog entry at this site: “My fantasyland comes with a Nobel prize. Yours comes with death threats” etc etc. No, those are both your fantasies. That’s really the heart of the problem, isn’t it? Everything you write is fantasy. You used to toss in a bit of reality every once in a while. Back when people actually sent you emails. But those days are long gone. Your post-Wade psychotic break changed everything. The bottom line is that the Buy-and-Hold retirement studies have not been corrected to this day. I pointed out in my famous post from the morning of May 13, 2002, that the Greaney study lacks an adjustment for the valuation level that applies on the day the retirement begins. All of the words that have been spilled over the following 16 years show that I was right. Thousands of people have looked at the Greaney study during that time. Not one has been able to identify a valuation adjustment. A failed retirement is a serious life setback. Greaney should have corrected his study within 24 hours of the moment when he learned of the error he made in it. Now — The backstory is that Greaney’s retirement study would be perfect in a world in which the market was efficient, which is the world that Bogle thought we lived in at the time when he developed the Buy-and-Hold strategy. The idea that the market is efficient was born in 1965, when Fama published research showing that short-time timing doesn’t work. Lots of good and smart people jumped to the conclusion that no form of timing works. Shiller showed in 1981 that this conclusion was a false one. He showed that long-term timing (price discipline) always works and is always required for investors seeking to keep their risk profile roughly constant over time. Shiller has described the intellectual leap from the finding that short-term price changes are unpredictable to the Buy-and-Hold conclusion that the market sets prices properly as “one of the most remarkable errors in the history of economics.” That’s the core dispute. Buy-and-Hold is rooted in error, the error was revealed by the peer-reviewed research in this field 37 years ago, and now that the error has been covered up for 37 years, the Buy-and-Holders are very, very, […]
AE good tip, and believe me I do Trek where the the Grizzlies Roam. I always carry a big sidearm and considered myself to be rather macho, but after watching serveral videos on bear attacks, I will still carry my gun but Bear Pepper Spray will be my first defense. Bear Spray may also be the best way to go when facing 4 federal agents at your front door, probably more affective and if and when they get you, there will be no murder charge against you. And BTW I just killed a big black bear with my bow. Trekker Out.
Jump up ^ Goetzmann, William N.; Rouwenhorst, K. Geert (2008). The History of Financial Innovation, in Carbon Finance, Environmental Market Solutions to Climate Change. (Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, chapter 1, pp. 18–43). As Goetzmann & Rouwenhorst (2008) noted, "The 17th and 18th centuries in the Netherlands were a remarkable time for finance. Many of the financial products or instruments that we see today emerged during a relatively short period. In particular, merchants and bankers developed what we would today call securitization. Mutual funds and various other forms of structured finance that still exist today emerged in the 17th and 18th centuries in Holland."
Stuff to think about before you make your attempt at fame in the world of market callers? There is some deflationary stuff going on. Not Armageddon mind you, but, a barrel of Texas that was flying out the door in 2012 for $125 can be had for $46 today. Food is on the cheap so bad the supermarkets are begging for some price inflation so they can report revenue increases to their grumpy shareholders. I almost forgot, Maine blueberries are getting crushed with wholesale off by over 40%. Not enough buy pressure there.
Still, people don’t read their horoscopes looking for accurate forecasts of their futures. They want something to feel hopeful about. I suspect Weingarten draws a semi-respectable crowd to his events for a similar reason. Listening to an unrepentant financial astrologer may be reassuring to people who feel that their expertise has been rendered obsolete by index funds and trading algorithms. Weingarten’s found an edge! And it may just have the weight of the cosmos behind it.
