Weingarten has been bearish on Bitcoin for a long time and has some nonastrological reasons for it, including iffy security and possible regulation. He’s vague when asked to elaborate on the planetary technical analysis. “There were a bunch of charts that said Bitcoin was going to get slaughtered,” he says, showing them to me for an unhelpfully brief period of time. Eventually he relents somewhat, explaining that his zodiac charts displayed looming Saturns for Bitcoin. “Saturn has to deal with limitation, or it has to deal with reality,” he says. “And the reality of Bitcoin is it’s a piece of shit.”
Because they’ve got the frackers sitting on them. Every time oil gets back to $50 or $60, the frackers start cranking up again, and then they get excess supply. The Saudi princes are saying we’ll never see $100 oil again, and I agree — or at least not for a very, very long time. I see oil at pretty much between $20 and $60 for decades. And we won’t see natural gas at $14 again — because of fracking.

Hi, for two weeks now I’ve been getting a sense that something massive is going to happen in September 2014. I get a picture of the northern polar ice-cap, and, polar movement. NASA knows about the polar movement. I feel this coming event is natural not man caused. Also, I’m getting it will be even more intense than the sea-bed quake and tsunami of 2004. I feel the north pole would be better avoided in September 2014. Is anyone else getting anything similar?
I do not hold positions in these investments. No recommendations are made by me one way or the other.  If you're an investor, you'd want to look much deeper into each of these situations. You can lose money trading or investing in stocks. Always do your own independent research, due diligence and seek professional advice from a licensed investment advisor.
I think worldwide economic chaos could occur during 2018 - 2020, as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse ride, with the Third Horseman being Economic Chaos. World economics could see stock market swings in 2019 - 2020. Watch out for Europe's economy having problems 2019 - 2020. There could be continued economic problems in Europe. The 3rd horseman of the apocalypse economic chaos rides. Note that this is a case of "the road to Hell is paved with good intentions". Good intentions: the Euro single currency seemed like a good idea. Road to Hell: some of the countries (Greece and others) with uncontrolled deficits and borrowing dragged down all of Europe's economy. And Putin may want to take over more of the former Soviet Union countries, similar to Ukraine.
I think it is such a pity that we are still, even now, locking horns with Russia. I believed that that this cloud of distrust and ill will had been dissipated, now it looms darker than ever. In the West we are as guilty on all levels as Russia on letting this happen, with Ukraine broken as the piggy in the middle. We have, stupidly, fallen hook, line and sinker into this pit and I don’t think Obama has any solutions to this. Him and Putin despise each other. We certainly should not be building the structures to keep Russia out for another generation.
I recently posted a Guest Blog Entry at the Digerati Life blog. It's called The No-Stock Portfolio: Zero Stocks for 15 Years and Doing Fine! Juicy Excerpt: What if you were to take stock price into consideration when setting your stock allocation with the understanding that it might take as long as 10 years to see a payoff for doing so? In that case, you would be almost certain to see the payoff. Long-term timing always works. At least it always has (in the past). It’s not hard to…
It’s my feeling that we are still in the midst of this crisis, and haven’t seen the worst of it, but it will turn around over the next couple of years. In terms of the bottoming out, if I were looking just at the aspects I’d have to say as an astrologer that the worst still will be the end of December into January when Pluto hits that 1 degree mark. And again when Pluto retrogrades back to that point at different points in 2009. However, as a psychic, I also know that charts are not always 100 accurate, so timing isn’t always exact because of this, and the intense urgency about the market I felt back in September has abated. I’m not sure if this is because we’re already in it, and I’ve gotten used to the energy, or if we really have seen the biggest drop we’re going to feel by comparison of where it was to begin with.

Grace K. Morris, a professional astrologer and president of Astro Economics Inc., similarly boasted that during the Great Recession, she accurately predicted that the market would bottom out on March 9, 2009. Traditional economists such as Nouriel “Dr. Doom” Roubini, meanwhile, struggled to pinpoint a specific date when the market would turn; Goldman’s Abby Joseph Cohen insisted it would soon rally, long after 2008 had become a flaming dumpster fire. (Currently, Morris believes the market will continue to roar until a major crash occurs between August 2026 and March 2028; best of luck with that one.)

Is funny, the tropical depression is well away from us but we are getting an extremely wet weather system over the state, they call it an anti-cyclone, whatever that is, all i know is i could use some sunshine, been raining for weeks, only one or two days here and there that didnt rain. Too damn wet, crops rotting in the field, at least the market crops, oh well, such is life as a farmer!
Hi Craig, with only two days left now until the Brexit referendum, the statisticians are now that the chances of leaving Europe are now only 1/5. Polls and opinion are saying it’s 80% likely there will be a vote to remain (this may be directly linked to recent news events/incidents at the weekend, along with media scaremongering). Worth noting, that last week it was an even 50/50 chance for Brexit. So, do you still believe a Brexit will occur in two days time on the 23rd June 2016? And if it doesn’t would it be in the nations best interest to Br-remain?
The number of major store chains shutting down or downsizing is remarkable. One of the latest to fall is Toys “R” Us. Some may find consolation in the fact that one of the reasons for the crumbling of traditional brick-and-mortar stores—but by no means the only one—has been Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN). But the day could come when even this giant is slain.
NR, still stacking myself. Picked up some more .22 and .30 Carbine at the last gun show a month ago. My next big purchase is a new 12-ga. pump, Mossberg 500 or 590. 6 cords of wood are stacked at the BOL now. My cousin just got finished replacing the batteries for the solar system and installed a new Flojak hand pump for the well. Still have the creek out back as a backup source of water. What I have left to move now is just enough to fill up the truck for bugout. The woodstove at the cabin was just replaced 2 years ago along with the pipe. Cabin was totally remodeled 3 years ago. everything is in top condition there. Bugout time can’t come soon enough for me.

One Stop, which includes some of the smallest shops (smaller than a Tesco Express), is the only Tesco shop format in the UK that does not include the word Tesco in its name. The brand, along with the original shops, formed part of the T&S Stores business but, unlike many that were converted to Tesco Express, these kept their old name. Subsequently, other shops bought by Tesco have been converted to the One Stop brand. Some have Tesco Personal Finance branded cash machines. The business has attracted some controversy, as the prices of groceries in these shops, often situated in more impoverished areas, can be higher than nearby Tesco branded shops, highlighted in The Times 22 March 2010: "Britain’s biggest supermarket uses its chain of 639 One Stop convenience shops–which many customers do not realise it owns–to charge up to 14 per cent more for goods than it does in Tesco-branded shops."[63]

It’s not life-threatening but maybe something like a perforated bowel – serious but not terminal. A Trump family member has a near-fatal accident. (CORRECT: 10/10 was this what I ‘saw’ or is there more to come? This happened on 17th October 2018 soon after these predictions made. See the Independent: “Melania Trump’s plane forced to land after ‘haze of smoke’ spotted.“

I've written a Guest Blog Entry for the Stock Trend Investing blog titled Long-Term Trend Investing. Juicy Excerpt: There’s one big flaw to Buy-and-Hold, however. When stocks are overpriced, it can take a long, long time for investors to obtain the average long-term return of 6.5 percent real. The Buy-and-Hold advocates don’t like for investors to learn how long it can take for the average long-term return to apply. How does the idea of waiting 25 years to see a good return on your…

The failure set off a worldwide run on US gold deposits (i.e. the dollar), and forced the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates into the slump. Some 4,000 banks and other lenders ultimately failed. Also, the uptick rule,[37] which allowed short selling only when the last tick in a stock's price was positive, was implemented after the 1929 market crash to prevent short sellers from driving the price of a stock down in a bear raid.[38]
The answer was simple – don’t explain the meme, but categorise it. After a meme is approved on the market, it is split into one of three categories: penny stocks (low-end, unpopular memes), text-based memes, and image based memes. Of course, this system is not without its flaws – some memes could easily fit into multiple categories, but it seems to work.

It’s hard prepping on limited funds especially with young children, believe me I know. Every two weeks when I get groceries I take an extra $20 and get basic staples to store in my emergency pantry. It doesn’t seem like much but it adds up especially If you use it a Aldis, shop n save, etc. Then when I have extra cash I use it on the other important things besides food. Just keep going your doin a lot better than most. Your kids will thank you for it. 🙂
One of the interesting features of the NYSE horoscope is the afflicted nature of Mercury. This is ironic in a way since Mercury is the planet of trading. Nonetheless, one compelling way to judge the effects of this troubled Mercury is to assess its effect on market performance over the years. Since the antardasha (aka subperiod, or bhukti) period is shorter, we can find several instances over the past 100 years or so and thereby correlate stock prices during the time it was subperiod lord.
Bonne continuation!
The U.S. stock market is in an amazing shape. Every day new all-time highs are set. This MUST be bullish, and investors should go all-in, right? Well, not that fast, at least not in our opinion. We see many signs that this rally is getting overextended, from an historical perspective. While we clearly said a year ago that we were bullish for this year, we did not see any stock market crash coming (a year ago). Right now, we are now on record with a forecast of a stock market crash in 2018, and it could take place as early as the first weeks / months of 2018.
I recently started a thread at the Early Retirement Extreme Forum titled Risk Revisited. Juicy Excerpt #1: I view the attitude toward risk that Kevin is describing (he is accurately describing the Buy-and-Hold approach) as exceedingly dangerous. In all other areas of life endeavor, we think of risk as something to be avoided. When it comes to investing, we think of risk as something to be sought out. I believe that this is why we are in an economic crisis today. We have taught millions of…

I have to tell you I have been telling people since I was a little girl that the world is going to end as we know. I know something is going to happen that many will die. That there will only be a hand full of us left and we will have start over. I am not sure what is suppose to happen but I feel it getting closer. A few weeks ago I had a dream but who knows if it is true.

The magazines work months in advance so I made my predictions for 2014 around September and October. Soon after making this one there was a huge fire in Australia. So maybe I was seeing this – but I still feel that what I saw was really unprecedented. Similarly I note that bright light in the sky may be me ‘seeing’ Comet ISON but in my vision I saw something far far brighter in the sky. It would illuminate the whole sky – brighter than the moon.
The American mobilization for World War II at the end of 1941 moved approximately ten million people out of the civilian labor force and into the war.[28] World War II had a dramatic effect on many parts of the economy, and may have hastened the end of the Great Depression in the United States.[29] Government-financed capital spending accounted for only 5 percent of the annual U.S. investment in industrial capital in 1940; by 1943, the government accounted for 67 percent of U.S. capital investment.[29]

I've posted the third entry to my monthly column at the Balance Junkie site. It's called Liberals Came Closer Than Conservatives With Their Explanation of the Economic Crisis. Juicy Excerpt: The comedian John Stewart had a funny line re this aspect of the story. There was a debate in the early days that executives of firms in the financial sector should be denied bonuses because they would be out of work but for the bailouts they received from the U.S. taxpayers. One executive complained…

In margin buying, the trader borrows money (at interest) to buy a stock and hopes for it to rise. Most industrialized countries have regulations that require that if the borrowing is based on collateral from other stocks the trader owns outright, it can be a maximum of a certain percentage of those other stocks' value. In the United States, the margin requirements have been 50% for many years (that is, if you want to make a $1000 investment, you need to put up $500, and there is often a maintenance margin below the $500).

I recently posted a Guest Blog Entry at the Smarter Wallet blog entitled Stock Market Strategy: Market Timing Based on Long-Term Views. Juicy Excerpt: If prices can be wildly wrong in the short term but must be roughly right in the long term, it should be possible to know in advance which way prices are headed (in the long term only, not in the short term) just by knowing the valuation level you are starting from. Researchers have checked the historical data. This explanation, unlike the…

Thus, Buffett has not said anything specific to the effect of “the stock market will crash in 2018.” He doesn’t have to make any such statement. An expert prediction is just that: a prediction. The smarter the expert, the less tendency there is to trust forecasts and prophecies. But if you use the expert prediction as a guide to understand what’s happening, you can detect trends. Thus, you can prepare and take appropriate actions that will not leave you stranded. If the negative predictions do materialize, you can take comfort in the fact you were ready. If they don’t, you can enjoy the favorable outcome with everyone else.
(7) Diseases. Disease epidemics could be a worsening problem in 2018 - 2019, including Bird Flu or H3N2 Flu Influenza, and SARS could return -- I think these are diseases that could cause great problems over the next 5 years. And antibiotic resistant bacteria infections. Watch out for worsening worldwide disease epidemics in 2018-2019, including Ebola and Flu and Zika Virus. And this disease epidemic could be Ebola, or swine flu, or Flu strain H3N2 Fujian, which is a severe strain that began as an outbreak in 2003, or it could more likely be bird flu type H5N1 causing a severe epidemic in birds - chickens, ducks, etc.- but that can spread to humans. H3N2 Fujian began in Fujian Province in China, (associating it with the Red Dragon, Red China, in Revelation 12), and bird flu began in Korea in Dec. 2003, but previously there was a 1997 outbreak in Hong Kong, associating it with the dragon. The concern is that bird flu is very deadly to people, and if it mutates to spread from person to person then it could cause a deadly worldwide pandemic in 2018 - 2019. And swine flu began speading worldwide from Mexico in April 2009, see the calendar page and Flu page on it. See the King James Bible Code matrices on diseases, including the possibility of an airborne Ebola outbreak, and a deadly Swine Flu mutation.

I've posted a Guest Blog Entry at the Invest It Wisely site titled Stocks Are Far More Risky When Valuations Are High. Juicy Excerpt: My interpretation of these numbers is that stocks are a less risky asset class than most believe. So long as you limit yourself to buying stocks only at moderate or better prices and commit to a 10-year holding period, you are virtually guaranteed to at least break even. That’s a very good deal, given the upside potential that applies when stocks are…
I’ve had many dreams that feel prophetic, then come true, for example I dreamed back in 1992 that I was like a giant standing in the ocean knee deep facing Clinton (who was the president then and he was also giant) in front of the Asian nations, he picked up a pair of scissors and cut out one of the countries, I think it was Iraq. He cut the country out right along it’s borders and easily threw it into the ocean, when he did I saw women with coverings on their faces and children screaming and falling in. I believe that came true 🙁
The sandpile study was introduced in a 1987 paper by Per Bak, Chao Tang and Kurt Wiesenfeld, three scientists working at the Physics Department at the Brookhaven National Laboratory. Ironically, the paper was presented to Physical Review Letters a few months before the stock market crash of October 1987, still today the largest ever one-day drop. The title was "Self-Organized Criticality" and falls within a branch of mathematics known as Complexity Theory, which studies how systems can organize themselves into unexpected behaviors arising from the interaction of its smallest and seemingly independent components.

In 1932, the Pecora Commission was established by the U.S. Senate to study the causes of the crash. The following year, the U.S. Congress passed the Glass–Steagall Act mandating a separation between commercial banks, which take deposits and extend loans, and investment banks, which underwrite, issue, and distribute stocks, bonds, and other securities.

The total value of equity-backed securities in the United States rose over 600% in the 25 years between 1989 and 2012 as market capitalization expanded from $2,790 billion to $18,668 billion.[12] Direct ownership of stock by individuals rose slightly from 17.8% in 1992 to 17.9% in 2007, with the median value of these holdings rising from $14,778 to $17,000.[13][14] Indirect participation in the form of retirement accounts rose from 39.3% in 1992 to 52.6% in 2007, with the median value of these accounts more than doubling from $22,000 to $45,000 in that time.[13][14] Rydqvist, Spizman, and Strebulaev attribute the differential growth in direct and indirect holdings to differences in the way each are taxed in the United States. Investments in pension funds and 401ks, the two most common vehicles of indirect participation, are taxed only when funds are withdrawn from the accounts. Conversely, the money used to directly purchase stock is subject to taxation as are any dividends or capital gains they generate for the holder. In this way the current tax code incentivizes individuals to invest indirectly.[15]
A little more than a week later, stocks sank after a tweet from the president challenged the idea that Russia’s missile defense system could shoot down American smart bombs. Investors clearly worry that Trump’s tweeted rhetoric could be taken the wrong way by one or more global leaders, leading to escalation, or even conflict. Should that happen, the stock market could tank.
