I've posted a Guest Blog Entry at the Invest It Wisely site titled Stocks Are Far More Risky When Valuations Are High. Juicy Excerpt: My interpretation of these numbers is that stocks are a less risky asset class than most believe. So long as you limit yourself to buying stocks only at moderate or better prices and commit to a 10-year holding period, you are virtually guaranteed to at least break even. That’s a very good deal, given the upside potential that applies when stocks are…
I love reading these and often look again for any updates. The world seems to be lurching in to ever more chaos. I hope that things do improve with the war situation overall. We really do not want more war, what we need is peace, harmony and for all the third world countries to be stable and for those people to have the same opportunities as those in the western world. Then there will be peace.
Right now, Republicans have control of the legislative branch of the U.S. government, albeit by a slim margin in the Senate. Having a majority of seats in both houses of Congress, and a Republican President in Donald Trump, increases the probability of legislation being passed. Not to mention, the GOP is often viewed as a party that’s friendlier to businesses. This Republican majority is responsible for passing the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act in December 2017, which slashed the peak marginal corporate income tax rate to 21% from 35%.
The Roaring Twenties, the decade that followed World War I that led to the crash,[3] was a time of wealth and excess. Building on post-war optimism, rural Americans migrated to the cities in vast numbers throughout the decade with the hopes of finding a more prosperous life in the ever-growing expansion of America's industrial sector.[4] While the American cities prospered, the overproduction of agricultural produce created widespread financial despair among American farmers throughout the decade.[4] This would later be blamed as one of the key factors that led to the 1929 stock market crash.[5]
Houses and apartments are ruled by Cancer and the Fourth House of ‘home’ so when the North Node moves into Cancer towards the end of this year we will see new emphasis on property prices around the world, through to 2019. The special child in your world is really shown by Leo and the Fifth House, and you have a strong Leo signature. The North Node has been going over Leo so old karma has been activated. It is very likely that you, your niece and the special child knew each other in a previous lifetime. Flux is okay, by the way. In fact it’s necessary. Astrology can help by alerting you so that you realise what is going on and you go with radically new ways to earn, own or owe.
On Sunday, dogecoin, a meme-inspired cryptocurrency that was introduced as a joke in 2013, saw its market value increase to $2 billion just days after hitting $1 billion. Meanwhile, dentacoin, a dental care-focused digital currency that dubs itself "the blockchain solution for the global dental industry," briefly surpassed $2 billion in market capitalization on Sunday, according to Coinmarketcap data.

Even better than not selling stocks during a recession is to actually go on the offense. In bull markets, investors can occasionally find reasonably priced, wonderful businesses. But they can rarely find wonderful businesses trading at a significant discount to their fair value. Stock market crashes are the rare times when high-quality businesses can be found in the clearance aisle. Go shopping!

The 1929 crash brought the Roaring Twenties to a halt.[35] As tentatively expressed by economic historian Charles P. Kindleberger, in 1929, there was no lender of last resort effectively present, which, if it had existed and been properly exercised, would have been key in shortening the business slowdown that normally follows financial crises.[32] The crash marked the beginning of widespread and long-lasting consequences for the United States. Historians still debate the question: did the 1929 Crash spark The Great Depression,[36] or did it merely coincide with the bursting of a loose credit-inspired economic bubble? Only 16% of American households were invested in the stock market within the United States during the period leading up to the depression, suggesting that the crash carried somewhat less of a weight in causing the depression.
A little more than a week later, stocks sank after a tweet from the president challenged the idea that Russia’s missile defense system could shoot down American smart bombs. Investors clearly worry that Trump’s tweeted rhetoric could be taken the wrong way by one or more global leaders, leading to escalation, or even conflict. Should that happen, the stock market could tank.

“At the Very Bare Minimum, Anyone Who Points Someone to One of the Buy-and-Hold Retirement Studies for Use in Planning a Retirement Should Let That Person Know That There Are Today Two Schools of Academic Thought as to How Stock Investing Works, Not One, and Let that Person Make the Decision as to Whether to Rely on the Numbers Generated by the Buy-and-Hold Studies or the Numbers Generated by the Valuation-Informed Indexing Studies.”

Watch out for economic chaos in 2019 - 2020, and watch what Putin the Antichrist, the 1st horseman, is doing in Russia, such as invading Ukraine and intervening in Syria. Relate to Revelation 15 plagues. The 4th horseman Death could be riding as a Flu epidemic, possibly Bird Flu, Zika virus SARS. Disasters for the world in 2019 - 2020: flu epidemic, earthquakes, volcanos, solar flares, asteroids hit earth, the Antichrist Putin. The 2nd horseman War and 3rd horseman economic chaos riding in 2019 - 2020.
Supreme, Thanksgiving, and Supreme Court: Happy hanksqwing WISHING YOU A - President Donald J. The American mobilization for World War II at the end of 1941 moved approximately ten million people out of the civilian labor force and into the war.[28] World War II had a dramatic effect on many parts of the economy, and may have hastened the end of the Great Depression in the United States.[29] Government-financed capital spending accounted for only 5 percent of the annual U.S. investment in industrial capital in 1940; by 1943, the government accounted for 67 percent of U.S. capital investment.[29]
Being a renowned astrologer is a bit like being a chess grandmaster: Lesser practitioners know how the pieces move, but virtuosos see the interconnectedness of each piece in solving the larger puzzle. That's to say that most astrologers can read natal charts and tick off a laundry list of future possibilities based on a set of rote rules related to planetary positioning, but Vashistha incorporates peerless astrology knowledge gained in formal academic training and experience with thousands of clients: He got his master’s in astrology at Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi, India, and a Ph.D. in raja yoga, a part of Hindu astrology focused on planetary situations that indicate wealth and power. He sees the whole board, as it were.
Thank you for becoming a Premium Member and also for the compliment. Don’t be anxious, but do give yourself an advantage by understanding what it means to have Uranus conjunct your natal Chiron at 0 Taurus in your Second House of finance, property, business and possessions. Essentially your lifelong pattern is to see what you can get away with, no matter if you are buying, selling or borrowing. Chiron is that side of you which is quite audacious and willing to tilt at windmills. You are always moving the goalposts, to coin another phrase, when it comes to money and were probably doing that as a child or teenager too. Experimenting and exploring to see what is possible – what is acceptable. When Uranus comes along in May, and again in early 2019, you will need to adjust and adapt your approach. In other words, the habits of a lifetime with finances will need to be examined very closely to see if your old angle is still going to work for you in unpredictable times. Figuring out a strategy is a very good idea. Rather than just reacting, try to put everything in front of you and see what tactics you can use. You’ll see a lot of astrologers online and in workshops now talking about this cycle, as we have not seen it since the Thirties. By 2019 you will be far more up on the game and will know how to play it. The best example I can give you is the Industrial Revolution. You either got on board with it and did very well, back in the 18th century, or you threw your clogs into the machinery and … your clogs got broken! Another example I can give you is the French Revolution and the peasant rebellion against taxes. Again, you either got on board with that and owned the new country – or you were wasting your time, hanging on to your poster of Marie Antoinette. It’s going to be that radical. What do you gain? Freedom. Freedom from X and freedom, thanks to Y. You actually won’t be able to fill in X and Y until Uranus has arrived and it is in the nature of this planet to be utterly unpredictable. Yet – you have the kind of chart where you can make just about anything work. You would do wonders with gardening, actually. I hope your little boy gets a good animal friend.
Also, a woman rides the beast in Revelation 17, I think this is Europe-- Europa, and in particular Mrs. Merkel leader of Germany, since Europa in mythology was a woman riding a bull. The beast eventually turns on the woman and burns her with fire. Likely Europe will get along with this Russian President, since being close to Russia Europe must be very worried about chaos in Russia, and new economic agreements between Russia and Europe will result. Germany in particular is becoming friendly with Russia, I think Germany is making a big mistake by trusting Putin. And France is selling military equipment to Russia including naval ships, so France is riding the red Russia beast. And Putin exerts much influence over Europe by controlling natural gas supplied by Russia to Europe. See the Russia section for interesting facts on Putin. Eventually the beast will turn against Europe and burn Europa with fire, as in Revelation 17. But this attack on Europe could be Muslim IS or Al Qaeda missle, nuclear, and biological attacks on Europe rather than Russia. In Revelation 17, the 10 horns of the beast are 10 kings who are in league with him, I think this is the C.I.S. (King James Version):
ON DECEMBER 2nd, Mars opposed the planet Uranus, beginning the 40% of that synodic cycle which has contained EVERY stock market crash of the past 100 years! As it is a short cycle of about two years, it is clear that a crashing market does not occur in any but a small portion of such cycles. However, with the current Bull Market move becoming very extended, and with various economic and technical information weakening the "Big Picture," our opinion is firm that the year ahead presents more than casual dangers to lives and fortunes!
Doubters and haters are only hurting themselves, Morris said: “My clients are pragmatic—if it works, they use it.” But financial astrology is hardly foolproof. In one prominent prediction flop, London-based financial astrologer Christeen Skinner surmised that Hillary Clinton would definitely win the 2016 U.S. election, but would be too bogged down by influenza to attend her own inauguration.
“Investors” on the subreddit are granted 1000 units of NASDANQ (the name of the market they’ve created) currency when they first join, with an aim to make as much profit as possible. The meme market operates just like any other stock market – new memes that are on the rise are desirable, while when a meme is decaying, those participating in the market try and sell it off as quickly as they can.
Here, Wall Street Journal bureau chief Karen Blumenthal chronicles the six-day period that brought the country to its knees, from fascinating tales of key stock-market players, like Michael J. Meehan, an immigrant who started his career hustling cigars outside theaters and helped convince thousands to gamble their hard-earned money as never before, to riveting accounts of the power struggles between Wall Street and Washington, to poignant stories from those who lost their savings -- and more -- to the allure of stocks and the power of greed.
I’m sure you’re aware that the level of sovereign debt, ie., government borrowings, are at astronomical(!) levels by all historical standards. Interest rates are artificially low partly, I believe, because governments do not want to face the consequences of massive repayments. Asset prices and particularly housing prices have ballooned as a consequence and are unaffordable for many younger people trying to get on the ladder.
This crisis is rooted in the failure to learn the lessons of 2008 and of every other recession since the Fed’s creation: A secretive central bank should not be allowed to manipulate interest rates and distort economic signals regarding market conditions. Such action leads to malinvestment and an explosion of individual, business, and government debt. This may cause a temporary boom, but the boom soon will be followed by a bust. The only way this cycle can be broken without a major crisis is for Congress both to restore people’s right to use the currency of their choice and to audit and then end the Fed.
We haven’t had an October like this in a very long time.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down another 327 points on Thursday, and overall the Dow is now down close to 1,500 points from the peak of the market.  Unlike much of the rest of the world, it is still too early to say that the U.S. is facing a new “financial crisis”, but if stocks continue to plunge like this one won’t be too far away.  And as you will see below, many believe that what we have seen so far is just the start of a huge wave of selling.  Of course it would be extremely convenient for Democrats if stocks did crash, because it would give them a much better chance of doing well in the midterm elections.  This is the most heated midterm election season that I can ever remember, and what U.S. voters choose to do at the polls in November is going to have very serious implications for the immediate future of our country.
I've posted my second Guest Blog Entry at the Arbor Investment Planner blog. It's called Asset Allocation Advisors Cause Financial Crisis. Juicy Excerpt: There is no study supporting Buy-and-Hold. The idea that academic research supports this approach is a myth. People really do believe in it; both experts and ordinary investors. But they don’t believe in it because of a study they have read. They believe in it because experts endorse it and because it is rarely challenged. We have…
Mother Earth is now in greatest distress because of the exploding population explosion which is greatly ignored by the governments. As you are aware we all have our free wills. Some countries like Bangladesh, Pakistan, Palestine have all run out of space and many countries are encroaching on valuable farm lands. Added to this is enchroaching and expanding deserts and valuable coastal lands overtaken by encroaching sea waters because of global warming. Added to this is massive droughts and floods. You, Dear Sir, spend a lot of time in India and are very familiar with Karma, nemisis, faith, yogamaya, samskara – Every action has an equal reaction. Now is Payback time. As Ex- President Senior Bush said – ” you ( earth people) trash the earth, the earth will trash you back”. You all are going to be trashed severally. This is a grim warning.
I have also had a similar dream. I dreamed about 2 yrs ago that Chengde in China was hit with a massive quake. I was in Chengde and they had just finished building a new shopping complex, as well as apartments. All of the buildings were white and it was really beautiful. I was standing at the back of a building when this massive quake struck. This massive wave came thundering in and the tsunami was so big that it literally flattened the entire complex like a rolling pin. I remember lifting of the ground and was floating up above watching this when it happened. I heard the people that survived it say that was a 9.5 quake is anyone else alive?
IN AUGUST 1999 WHEN PUTIN FIRST ROSE TO POWER IN RUSSIA, THERE WAS A RARE GRAND CROSS ASTROLOGY PATTERN OF PLANETS IN A CROSS SHAPE, AND A TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE OVER EUROPE, INDICATING THAT PUTIN IS THE EVIL ANTICHRIST OF REVELATION 13 WHOSE NUMBER IS 666. Putin is attempting to destroy NATO and take over the world. Do not underestimate Putin - Putin has hypnosis mind control powers he can use to control people, hypnotizing them by staring at them, his eyes are said to be intense and hypnotizing. Others who could hypnotize people with their gaze were Rasputin and Hitler.

Set forth below are links to eight Guest Blog Entries that I have written on the Valuation-Informed Indexing investing strategy or that others have written commenting on it (actually one is about the Passion Saving strategy of money management -- how did that one get mixed in?!). 1) Stock Volatility Kills, at the Moolanomy blog. 2) Why Long-Term Timing Works Even Though Short-Term Timing Doesn't, at the Money and Such blog. 3) We're All Better Off as a Result of the Stock Crash, at the…

Thank you. I don’t get to my desk as often as I like, when I am travelling, but I have an opportunity to sit down with comments and questions this week. Your stepfather’s chart is missing from this and you need to have all the charts there if you are to figure out a three-way property or financial agreement. You also have Fortuna at 1 Scorpio in your Eighth House of houses, apartments, bank accounts, and the rest. In the middle of May, Uranus moves to 0 Taurus, right opposite your Fortuna, for the first time in your life. He will slowly cross to 1 Taurus and for most of the rest of this year, you will need to deal with a situation which is by its very nature unpredictable, erratic and hard to call – in terms of any previous experience you may have had. Just be aware of that. It’s quite true that Jupiter with all his solutions and abundant opportunities will cross your Mars at 20 Scorpio this year too and that’s worth using, but you do need to be a total realist about Uranus in Taurus. We have not seen this since the Thirties.

A couple of weeks after the symposium, on the day after the summer solstice, Weingarten and I meet again at the Princeton Club. Weingarten didn’t attend Princeton and has no connection to the university. He uses it as a base because the food is top-notch, he lives nearby, and he doesn’t have an office. In any event, he’s elated, and shows me why on his laptop. For months he’s been telling his newsletter subscribers that Bitcoin will slide in June, particularly around the 21st, the day of the solstice. And … bingo! The price of Bitcoin has dropped today almost $700, one of its biggest one-day plunges.
I recently wrote a Guest Blog Entry for the Blunt Money blog. It's called "Talk Back to the Investing Experts." Juicy Excerpt: Investing experts are like everybody else. They are flawed humans. They get things wrong. And they are inclined not to admit it too readily. They do more harm to their reputations in the long run by failing to do so, of course. They need our help. Does that sound to you like the sort of thing that might undermine national security? Does it sound like hate speech?…
I think the message here is that, near the midpoint between these two locations, is the town of Lordsburg, New Mexico, a name with a Biblical message. One way to consider numbers, in a religious sense, is to convert them to Biblical passage numbers. The midpoint is at 108.85 W, and if you consider Biblical Psalm passage 108:4,5 you have (King James Version): "For thy mercy is great above the heavens, and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds. Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth." So this Bible passage fits a comet, certainly.

In 1932, the Pecora Commission was established by the U.S. Senate to study the causes of the crash. The following year, the U.S. Congress passed the Glass–Steagall Act mandating a separation between commercial banks, which take deposits and extend loans, and investment banks, which underwrite, issue, and distribute stocks, bonds, and other securities.
Venus will enter Leo sign on 4th and will be under the aspect of Mars. There will be rise in the rates of Gold & Silver. The demand in the grains & commodities like peanuts & sesame will be noticed. Sun will enter Cancer sign on 16th, Monday and thereby conjoin Mercury & Rahu. These three planets will be under the aspect of Mars. The rates of dairy & beverages stocks (Hatsun, Kwality, Parag & Manpasand etc) will go down. Petro stocks may also see decline in the demand (BPCL, Chennai Petro & IOC etc). Rains will be normal. Bullions will see selling trend. Stocks indices will also see depressing sentiments.
Though we don't know what will motivate a future market crash, it's likely to be something that will ultimately be recovered from if history is any guide. The economy and society are very flexible. Industries, and even countries, can rise and fall over time, but if you have a global, well-diversified and lower cost portfolio, then you should be well-positioned. This is an area where diversification helps. If you spread your bets it will likely help. You'll probably find that the next crisis centers on a specific country, part of the globe or investment theme. If you've spread your bets through diversification, then you'll undoubtedly have some assets that fall in value, perhaps alarmingly, but often certain assets can do well during certain crises such as high-quality bonds, more defensive or inexpensive parts of the stock market, or commodities including gold.
Tax avoidance has not always related to corporation tax. A number of companies including Tesco used a scheme to avoid VAT by deeming 2.5% of purchases paid for by card to be a 'card transaction fee', which reduced the company's tax liability without changing the charge to the customer. Such schemes came to light after HMRC litigated against Debenhams over the scheme in 2005.[147]
Is this going to be another October to remember for Wall Street?  As I have explained previously, the month of October has historically been the worst month by far for the U.S. stock market, and it has also been the month when our most famous stock market crashes have taken place. The stock market crash that started the Great Depression in 1929 happened in October.  The largest single day percentage decline in stock market history happened in October 1987.  And most of us still remember what happened in October 2008.  So will we be adding October 2018 to that list?  Well, so far things are certainly moving in that direction.  Between Wednesday and Thursday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average plunged a total of 1,378 points.  And the S&P 500 has now broken below the all-important 200-day moving average.  If the S&P 500 bounces back above the 200-day moving average on Friday, that will be a sign that things have stabilized at least for the moment.  If that doesn’t happen, all hell might break loose next week.
Another not so great thing going on is a Saturn return happening in the Dow’s chart. This happens to all of us between the ages of 27 to 30 years old and if you’ve been a good girl or boy, good things manifest, your career takes off but so does your responsability. This is a manifesting aspect, a maturing aspect, making people or entities reap the karma of their past, so if you’ve been bad, it’s not a good time. It’s not uncommon for people who have lived a reckless life to die during this aspect or become very ill or near death.
If you can act at any time at all you may want to get the full measure of the new world. We are entering a duplicate of 1935 when the New Deal radically changed the United States. New banks came from nowhere, too. 1935 was also the year of dust storms having a big impact on farming, so the planet herself may force change this year. We are still yet to see Uranus enter Taurus so time will tell. 1935 was also about the devaluation of currency and this seems very likely with a couple of nations which will influence business, world trade and property – perhaps yours. I hope you can see how very different it’s all going to be out there. People can and will gain as Jupiter (abundance) is in Scorpio, the other money sign apart from Taurus. Once Jupiter passes 20 Scorpio a little later on this year, and until November – your Taurus-Scorpio placements at the late degrees will either be conjuncted or opposed by the planet of opportunity, growth, optimism and expansion. So your chances are excellent. The choice is yours – but don’t assume anything that seems certain now, will necessarily be there after May. Cryptocurrency is the wild card.
Whether Professor Sornette is right or not that a critical point can be anticipated, the entire concept of market self-organization deals a blow to the “fundamental” approach to investing in equity markets – the idea that opinion-based research can lead to investment success when it seems quite apparent that outcomes cannot be predicted even when initial conditions are known.

Editor’s Note: The following article has been contributed by Daisy Luther at The Organic Prepper web site. As always, Daisy has put together an excellent primer detailing the conditions we currently face, potential outcomes, and strategies you can implement to prepare for an inevitable crash in not just stocks markets, but the way of life we have come to know in America.
Like my maverick 88 nice smooth action just a good basic shotty. Takes 3 inch loads I think that’s overkill though but hey if I come across some during a shortage it will work. Would like to get a 590 though but the 88 is sufficient as it will mostly pull guard duty in the house so it won’t see rough conditions. Grew sweet potatoes this year gonna have 30lbs or more come harvest time. My garden and fruit trees produce so much I don’t buy produce anymore just meats grains juices really. I don’t hunt but might this year got me a decent crossbow and the shotgun of course there is no rifle hunting around here. Have a buddy who used to be a butcher and hunts and processes all his own meat. I’m fond of back strap and sausage.
The sandpile study was introduced in a 1987 paper by Per Bak, Chao Tang and Kurt Wiesenfeld, three scientists working at the Physics Department at the Brookhaven National Laboratory. Ironically, the paper was presented to Physical Review Letters a few months before the stock market crash of October 1987, still today the largest ever one-day drop. The title was "Self-Organized Criticality" and falls within a branch of mathematics known as Complexity Theory, which studies how systems can organize themselves into unexpected behaviors arising from the interaction of its smallest and seemingly independent components.
“ Even in the days before perestroika, socialism was never a monolith. Within the Communist countries, the spectrum of socialism ranged from the quasi-market, quasi-syndicalist system of Yugoslavia to the centralized totalitarianism of neighboring Albania. One time I asked Professor von Mises, the great expert on the economics of socialism, at what point on this spectrum of statism would he designate a country as "socialist" or not. At that time, I wasn't sure that any definite criterion existed to make that sort of clear-cut judgment. And so I was pleasantly surprised at the clarity and decisiveness of Mises's answer. "A stock market," he answered promptly. "A stock market is crucial to the existence of capitalism and private property. For it means that there is a functioning market in the exchange of private titles to the means of production. There can be no genuine private ownership of capital without a stock market: there can be no true socialism if such a market is allowed to exist." ”
I predict action with Iran and North Korea will make news. Looks like peace-deal being worked on in Iran but the US will be at war with Iran this year in a way similar to Gulf War. Iran will be destroyed militarily by US and UK. North Korea uses the situation as chance to pull something but they find out US can fight 3 major wars at the same time if needed. Korea will soon be united as the North falls after a war in next 36 months. Cuba tends to try to avoid openness again a short time then all clears and US business-people will be going there to start building projects as Cuba becomes tourism centre of Tropics. I also predict that Russia invades another nation late summer then has to pull out. (Abridged by editor as post far too long)

I recently posted a Guest Blog Entry at the Budgeting in the Fun Stuff blog. It's called The Last Days of Stock Investing Risk. Juicy Excerpt: You can never eliminate risk entirely because short-term returns are not at all predictable. But there is now 33 years of peer-reviewed research showing that long-term returns are highly predictable for those who consider valuations. Risk is optional! Go with a high stock allocation when prices are low, a moderate stock allocation when prices are at…
The author discusses the application of non-linear modeling techniques on the financial market. Given the behavior of financial market is the result of the inter-working of countless investors, it's very surprising and interesting to see these modeling techniques actually produce some very good results. In particular, the author presents the logic behind the formation and the bursting of bubbles, and, more importantly, provides insight of what we can expect from the financial market in the long term.

But here’s the thing about AFund: The A stands for “Astrologers.” It’s run by an antic, charming 70-year-old named Henry Weingarten who says he gleans insight from charting the movements of celestial bodies. Today’s event isn’t technically about astrology, but like everything in the universe, it probably is. “Sixty to 70 percent of what I do is in the natural resource space,” Weingarten tells me after lunch at the club, holding a glass of red wine. “I think it’s because I’m a Leo. And effectively, as a Leo, I have an affinity for gold.”

I recently posted a Guest Blog Entry at the Balance Junkie site titled How to Use Valuation-Informed Indexing -- Part Two. Juicy Excerpt: The smart Valuation-Informed Indexer prepares not only for the most likely outcome but for all other realistic possibilities. And the smart Valuation-Informed Indexer takes into consideration the emotional hit he will feel if he shifts to a low stock allocation because prices are high and stocks perform well for a few years or if he shifts to a high stock…

We hear very little about Australia, yet the economy is in trouble, Immigration is a huge issue, but of most concern is the head in the sand attitude to climate change. Opening up more coal mines, that kill the reef, and farm land , massive bush fires and cyclones. Where do you see Australia heading and is there any hope of a turn a round ? Thank you for your insight.
He’d say that Trump had a brilliant strategy for getting elected because he used to tell me that it’s not the middle class that decides elections — it’s the All Star Wrestling fans, the 15% to 20% clueless, bigoted, narrow-minded, dumbest people in the country, who are easily influenced. Those are the people who have been most pissed off in recent decades because their wages and earning power have been falling as a result of foreign and immigrant workers. Trump [targeted] them squarely and won them by [a margin of] about 80%.
I’ve posted Entry #418 to my weekly Valuation-Informed Indexing column at the Value Walk site. It’s called The Shiller Revolution Is About Shifting the Focus from Economics to Emotions. Juicy Excerpt: The Shiller investor would have been frightened by those gains. He would not have seen them as something to celebrate; he would likely have characterized them as “out of control.” All investors want the market to be as rational as possible; we have our retirement money invested in it. The difference, though, is that Buy-and-Holders see nothing concerning about big price gains — they are caused by economic developments as much as are small gains. Valuation-Informed Indexers, in contrast, see bull-market gains as emotion-generated gains. Times of high valuations are times of irrational exuberance. The times in which the market delivers big gains are the most dangerous times for stock investors. Searchlight magazine said it was "horrified" to discover anti-semitic books by US extremist publisher Liberty Bell on the Tesco website. Titles offered for sale included The Hitler We Loved and Why, The International Jew and The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. Searchlight found another 106 titles by British-based publisher Steven Books which it describes as "so extreme that even the British National Party does not sell them". The shop said in a statement: "Tesco.com has over one million book titles covering a wide range of subjects. We are unhappy that titles which could cause offence to some customers have found their way on to our site and took immediate action to remove them once they were brought to our attention."[162]

I've posted the third entry to my monthly column at the Balance Junkie site. It's called Liberals Came Closer Than Conservatives With Their Explanation of the Economic Crisis. Juicy Excerpt: The comedian John Stewart had a funny line re this aspect of the story. There was a debate in the early days that executives of firms in the financial sector should be denied bonuses because they would be out of work but for the bailouts they received from the U.S. taxpayers. One executive complained…
Also, note that the woman is holding a cup full of abominations and filthiness - the cup could be the CERN LHC particle accelerator, which is circular in shape, and the abominations could be the strange and dangerous particles the LHC creates, including Black Holes and Strangelets that could destroy earth. Note that the CERN LHC had a large increase in power in 2015, making creation of a black hole more likely.

Note that Russian President Putin began his rise to power in Russia in August 1999, at the time of the Grand Cross Astrology pattern and solar eclipse over Europe, becoming Prime Minister for Yeltsin (second-in-command in Russia) on August 9, 1999. On December 31, 1999, Putin became Russia's President. And Mars is war - war will occur when Putin is in power. "King of the Mongols" - that Putin will be a tyrant rising to power in Asia.
Thank you for all! I got intrigued by my first encounter with your work a few months ago when I was googling something Uranus and came upon your prognostication from a year ago about this Uranus-Taurus passage. I was hooked! My husband and I have been in flux for nearly six years now and have had all manner of our home situation bandied about, along with complete career changes. It’s been unreal yet has forced us to deep spiritual roots. Anyway, any insights about the future of our homes/homelife is appreciated…. much gratitude for your forthright, bold writing and insights.
Ceres at 3 Scorpio will do it. You were born with Ceres (deal-making, compromises, periodic crises, empowerment, the balance of power) in the Eighth House of finance, property, charity, taxation and business. Right now Uranus is preparing to move to 3 Taurus for the first time in most people’s lives. It’s massive. The time has come to look at the way you habitually deal with banks, family or partners (in the context or rent, mortgage, inheritance) and so on. You can’t stick to those old habits now. In fact, it will be obvious from May 2018 and again in 2019. Uranus in Taurus is really about the whole world changing, and yet it has a direct impact on all that you own, earn or owe. Ceres in mythology was the mother-in-law of Pluto and mother of Proserpina, so sometimes this placement is really about the family and all that is in your will – their wills too. Perhaps this is the focus. You are going to have to adapt and adjust, go day-to-day for a while, prepare to make concessions and compromises and take your part in what is basically a massive transformation of your lifestyle, across 2019 and into 2020. When Jupiter conjuncts your Pluto at 20 Scorpio later this year, into the European Autumn/Australian Spring – you will have a stunning solution and opportunity not possible in 12 years to take control of all that you earn, own or owe. It will be empowering. Watch Jupiter move to 20 Scorpio and seriously consider that open door.
Genuis and DK: Ten dollar bills and twenties’s mainly and some hundred dollar bills in a house safe. good idea: pvc pipe with currency stashed under other pipe, like in the shed. make sure there are end caps to keep bugs out. Lots of canned sardines, spam, salmon, beans, chicken, canned veggies, etc. None of this long term crap that is loaded with sodium and fillers. After I’ve taken money out of my account, more is deposited from retirement/brokerage accounts soon after, and I have to repeat the cycle again. Many can relate to this endless cycle.

If most or all of the favourable conditions are in place, then a bull market is more probable. Where a more mixed situation obtains, the market will only deliver mixed results. In addition to the above factors, I use a variety of techniques including current transit patterns such as planetary ingresses, the phases of the Moon, and mundane aspects. All can be used as signals to help discern the prevailing market direction. Since none of these are reliable indicators on their own, I typically use up to 20 different measurements to compile a sort of moving astrological index that reflects changing investor sentiment. In addition, I make use of the first trade charts of key stocks, stock indices, and stock exchanges.
The crash followed a speculative boom that had taken hold in the late 1920s. During the latter half of the 1920s, steel production, building construction, retail turnover, automobiles registered, and even railway receipts advanced from record to record. The combined net profits of 536 manufacturing and trading companies showed an increase, in the first six months of 1929, of 36.6% over 1928, itself a record half-year. Iron and steel led the way with doubled gains.[19] Such figures set up a crescendo of stock-exchange speculation that led hundreds of thousands of Americans to invest heavily in the stock market. A significant number of them were borrowing money to buy more stocks. By August 1929, brokers were routinely lending small investors more than two-thirds of the face value of the stocks they were buying. Over $8.5 billion was out on loan,[20] more than the entire amount of currency circulating in the U.S. at the time.[15][21]

Thank you for the response! So what I am hearing is that waiting to see how this new world shakes out may be the more sensible choice. It sounds like it will be happening very quickly – and that we will need to be on our toes and ready to shift with the changes. You haven’t mentioned world conflicts being predominant with all these financial changes – is that on your mind? In 1935 fascism in Germany and Italy were on the rise, League of Nations (forerunner of UN) sanctions were ineffective at curbing German/Italian conquests, and Americans were reluctant to get involved as the aftermath of WWI was still strong. Now Americans again are pulling back from policing the world, and countries like China and Russia are taking territory (South China sea islands, Crimea/Ukraine). The world seems unable to stand up to them. Along with the financial shocks which will surely cause a lot of distress and upheaval, does this look like a similar set up for world conflict?
These diseases may also relate to three animals used to describe the Antichrist: he is like a leopard, has the mouth of a lion, and the feet of a bear. Maybe Ebola corresponds to the leopard, with its great speed; Ebola kills in two weeks of infection. Influenza could be the lion; it causes coughing like a lion's roar. And AIDS could be the bear; bears hibernate, like AIDS can do in people, until it wakes up and kills them.

(2) A key sign in 1998-99 that could relate to the arrival of the Antichrist was on April 23, 1998, (and also Feb. 23, 1999) when the planet Venus approached close to Jupiter in the sky. Jupiter relates to the Antichrist, because Jupiter and Thor (the Scandinavian equivalent) are said to control lightning and thunder, and the Antichrist is said to bring "fire down from heaven", which sounds like lightning. Venus having a close conjunction to Jupiter could mean Jupiter is "lit" by the close approach of Venus. There was a similar but much closer approach of Venus to Jupiter on June 17, 2 B.C., near the time of birth of Christ; the 2 planets actually appeared to merge in the sky. This could have accounted for the Star of Bethlehem legend; the 3 wise men were Astrologers, and such an unusual planetary conjunction would have had great significance for them. So, these similar conjunctions in 1998 and 1999, and on February 1 2008 a close approach of Venus and Jupiter to within .5 degree, could mean the Antichrist rose to power in 2000 and I think he is Russian President Putin. And note that on May 17, 2000 Venus and Jupiter also had a very close conjunction, only 4' apart, but were too close to the morning sun to be seen. And note that on Nov. 4, 2004, Venus passed within .6 degree of Jupiter. Also on July 1 2015 there was a close conjunction in the sky of Venus and Jupiter, and on on October 28 2015 a close conjunction of Venus, Jupiter, and Mars.
In May 2005, Tesco announced a trial non-food only format near Manchester and Aberdeen,[86] and the first shop opened in October 2005. The shops offered all of Tesco's ranges except food in warehouse-style units in retail parks. Tesco introduced the format as only 20% of its customers had access to a Tesco Extra, and the company was restricted in how many of its superstores it could convert into Extras and how quickly it could do so. Large units for non-food retailing are much more readily available. The format was not Tesco's first non-food only venture in the UK. Until the late 1990s/early 2000s there were several non-food Tesco shops around the country including Scarborough and Yate. Although not in a warehouse-style format, the shops were located on high streets and shopping centres, and stocked similar items to Homeplus shops. In both cases this was because another part of the shopping centre had a Tesco Superstore that stocked food items only. By 2014, the number of Homeplus shops in the United Kingdom had reached 12; the newest shop opened in Chester in July 2009. In 2012 it was reported that Tesco was looking to close the business to focus on groceries.[87] Tesco closed six Homeplus shops on 15 March 2015,[47] and the remaining six shops closed on 27 June 2015.[88]
Tesco also operated a home telephone and broadband business. Its broadband service launched in August 2004 to complement its existing internet service provider business, providing an ADSL-based service delivered via BT phone lines.[79] In January 2015, Tesco sold its home telephone and broadband business, together with Blinkbox, to TalkTalk for around £5 million. Its customers were transferred by 2016.[48][80]
Another of his predictions involved the uptick in the price of oil, thanks to “astrology, Trump, OPEC restraint, global growth, and Mideast geopolitics-potential ISIS al-Qaeda mischief.” The astrology part is determined by the movements of Neptune and Pluto. Neptune “rules” oil and gas, in part because it signifies the blurring of boundaries, presumably because … Neptune is the god of the sea? Pluto, meanwhile, is the god of the underworld, and oil comes from under the world. I point out to Weingarten that he’s ascribing to planets characteristics that have no significance beyond the mythological names they were given. “Maybe they were well-named,” he replies.
On October  24, I sent my article “Buy-and-Hold Is Dangerous” to the Quillette.com site for possible publication there. The article is an 11,300-word summary of my experiences of the past 16 years trying to get the word out about the errors in the Buy-and-Hold retirement studies and about the dangers of the Buy-and-Hold Model in general, focusing on the public policy aspects of the question (rather than on the investment advice side of the story). Set forth below is the text of my e-mail to the editors at Quillette.com: Quillette Editors: The primary purpose of this article (“Buy-and-Hold Is Dangerous”) is not to make the case against Buy-and-Hold as an investment strategy. It is to point out the harm that the relentless promotion of this long discredited model for understanding how stock investing works is doing from a public policy standpoint. For example, Robert Shiller explains in his book “Irrational Exuberance” that it was the bull market of the late 1990s, which was brought on by the widespread price indifference encouraged by Buy-and-Hold, that served as the primary cause of the economic crisis of 2008. And prices are high enough today to justify concerns that we will be seeing a repeat of that crisis in not too long a time. Thanks for giving the article a look. The article explains who I am and how I came to be the world’s leading expert on the 37-year cover-up of the dangers of the Buy-and-Hold Model.  / Rob Bennett  / I received a response later the same day saying:  / Hi Rob,  / Thank you for thinking of us but we’ll pass on this. We’re already over-capacity as it is for the time being so unable to take this on board.  / Best of luck pitching this elsewhere.  / Kind regards,  / Jamie Related PostsValuation-Informed Indexing #260 : Shiller’s Ideas Should Be Treated as Mainstream IdeasValuation-Informed Indexing #269: Eight Questions That Should Be Keeping Buy-and-Holders Up at NightValuation-Informed Indexing #265: P/E10 Permits Us to Quantify Investor EmotionBarton Swaim to Rob: “This Is Terrific. To help maintain a clear head during stock market crashes, investors should remember that they are business owners -- not ticker symbol owners. While stock prices may plummet, the majority of companies with good business models and strong competitive advantages will likely see a far smaller negative impact to their underlying businesses during these periods. So, be sure to detach stock price performance from business performance.

According to data from Equifax in August 2017, deep subprime auto loans -- i.e., loans with an origination VantageScore of 530 or less, on a scale of 300 to 850 -- have hit delinquency rates that hadn’t been seen since 2007. Interestingly enough, when examining the auto market as a whole, no red flags arise in terms of delinquency rates. But if you focus solely on subprime and deep subprime loans, they’ve been deteriorating of late.
